In 2010 The Pura Vida Foundation filmed the life of a young boy named Ricardo.  Ricardo was born with out his left leg and also was born into a life of poverty, abuse and neglect.  A short time after, a group of students came to visit The Pura Vida Shelter, and during their trip we took the students up to where Ricardo lived.  The St. Jerome students were so touched that they vowed to find a prosthetic leg for this young boy.  And in 2012 these driven students made it a reality.  Thanks to The Pura Vida Foundation and the St. Jeromes University we were able to change this young boys life in a way that is hard to grasp.
