In the spring of 2014 The Pura Vida Shelter was able to take all the kids up to Manchu Picchu for an amazing trip.  Because tourism has grown so much in the past 10 years in Cusco and the surrounding areas, it has made it very difficult for locals to visit the history of their ancestors.  The majority of locals that live in poverty and are from the province of Cusco have never been and never will be able to visit Manchu Picchu.
