When the Foundation arrived to Peru our goal was to experience and talk with as many social service facility’s and programs as we could. While working at a government run shelter and orphanage, we also visited and volunteered at several hospitals. We were able to work and experience three different hospitals in Cusco. A mental health facility, the general hospital for locals, and a clinic for locals suffering from a disability. To this day we are shocked to learn how the government treats the impoverished and indigenous people of Peru. So we try to help these very under funded and under staffed facility’s with clothes, food, and medical supplies. We are also planning to put on medical work shops at our new Shelter for young girl’s. Such as dentistry, hair lip surgeries, and also mental health work shops.
