Ever since the Pura Vida Foundation touched down in Peru, we have been increasingly aware of abuse and trafficking of young girls that is occurring in these severely impoverished communities.  Since 2009 the foundation has been working extensively with some of these Andean Communities.  This work consists of us talking with community leaders to learn what is the root cause for this abuse and the trafficking of these Andean children.  We also help by bringing food, clothing, blankets, shoes, and school supplies.  We also work hand in hand with the local social services to help take children out of abusive and dangers environments.
